With the intent of identifying, funding and implementing green space improvements in Town of Abita Springs and providing healthful activities and cultural programs that collectively enrich the lives of the community.

The Abita Springs Trailhead Park sits alongside the picturesque 31-mile long Tammany Trace and next to the beautiful Abita River. It features a Great Lawn which is perfect for picnics or games. The Park is anchored by two of the most historic buildings in St. Tammany Parish, the 1884 Pavilion, and the old Long Branch Hotel's Bachelor's Quarters, which now houses the Trailhead Museum.

The Abita Beer Plaza offers a bandstand that features live music regularly.  The Park is the home to many regular festivals and events such as the annual Abita Water Festival and Busker Fest as well as the weekly Art and Farmers Market to name a few.
